Common questions about exporting pets from Singapore

What is an AVS export health certificate?

The Singapore export health certificate is issued by an AVS-accredited vet and is required by most destination countries as proof your pet is healthy and vaccinated. AVS requires it to be issued between 2 and 7 days before your pet travels, not earlier. We coordinate the vet appointment and manage the paperwork.

How far in advance should I start the export process?

It depends on your destination. Australia and Japan require 8–12 months minimum due to titre test waiting periods. The UK can typically be done in 3–4 months. The US is often 4–8 weeks if vaccinations are current. The earlier you start, the more control you have over your departure date.

Does my pet need to go into quarantine on arrival?

It depends on the country. Australia requires quarantine for most dogs and cats (typically 10 days). Japan requires quarantine ranging from 12 hours to 180 days depending on preparation. The UK has strict pre-arrival requirements but no mandatory facility quarantine if all steps are completed correctly before departure.
